One of the popular games for preschoolers is Bingo (For ages 4 and up). It teaches number and letter recognition as well as simple grid structure. The little ones will pick the balls and call out the letter-number combinations. You can also play the game with your child. It will be real fun!
Another popular game is Number Hunt. This is a group activity. You have to show the numbered cards to the children then hide the cards around the room. Kids have to find all the cards and put them in a sequential order. The number of cards can be from 0 to 10 or 0-20 depending on the skill level of the children.
Hopping Circles is also an enjoyable learning activity for the kids. For this activity you need to cut large number of circles out of cardboard and write a number on each circle. Again the numbers to be written will vary according to the skill level of the children. Remember acquiring numeric skills is all about practicing in a fun way. So, laminate the circles in order to use the circles again. Place the laminated circles on the floor in no particular order. Ask the children to arrange the circles in a sequential order i.e. on the basis of the numbers on them. Once arranged, tell the kids to hop from one circle to the other in sequential order. This game teaches kids about sequencing.
